Kareena Kapoor Khan recently gave fans a rare glimpse into her personal life, sharing a fun-filled cricket session with her son, Taimur Ali Khan. The actor, who usually keeps family moments private, took to social media to post pictures from their playdate and left fans amused with her witty caption.
Dressed casually in a pink shirt and blue jeans, Kareena was seen bowling to Taimur, who stood ready with his bat inside a practice net. Showing off her playful side and channeling the confidence of her beloved Jab We Met character Geet, Kareena jokingly praised her own bowling skills.
“Don’t underestimate my talent. I can give Bumrah competition too,” she wrote on Instagram, referring to Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.
Known for his deadly yorkers and match-winning spells, Bumrah is regarded as one of the finest fast bowlers in world cricket. Kareena’s humorous comparison instantly caught the attention of fans, who loved the actor’s playful confidence.
Taimur’s Love For Cricket
Kareena has previously revealed that her elder son, Taimur, is more interested in sports than films. Despite growing up in one of Bollywood’s most famous families, Taimur’s biggest passions are cricket and football.
In an earlier interview, Kareena shared that her son often asks her if she knows cricket stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli personally and whether she can arrange a phone call with them.
Cricket runs deep in the Pataudi family. Taimur’s late grandfather, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was one of India’s most celebrated cricketers and captained the national team. He was honoured with the BCCI’s prestigious C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
Kareena’s Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Daayra, directed by Meghna Gulzar. Inspired by true events, the thriller revolves around themes of crime, justice and punishment. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and is slated to hit theatres on September 18.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Kareena may reunite with Salman Khan for a superhero film directed by Raj & DK and backed by Mythri Movie Makers. While an official announcement is still awaited, reports claim that the actress has shown keen interest in the project and discussions are currently at an advanced stage.
