Ranbir Kapoor has won hearts once again, this time by making a special effort to connect with his Telugu-speaking fans in Hyderabad. At a pre-release event for his upcoming film Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, the actor surprised the audience by delivering part of his speech in Telugu, earning loud cheers and applause.
Ranbir, who will portray Lord Rama in director Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious adaptation of the Indian epic, attended the event ahead of the film’s theatrical release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film will be distributed in the region by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations.
The actor’s attempt to address the audience in their language became one of the highlights of the event. His co-star Sai Pallavi, who plays Goddess Sita, watched with a smile as he spoke to the crowd.
Ranbir Kapoor thanks Telugu fans for their love

“Hyderabad ku raavadam naaku epudu pratyekame. Mee prema, abhimaanam naaku chala villuvenavi,” Ranbir said, conveying that coming to Hyderabad was always special and that the audience’s love and affection meant a great deal to him.
Keeping the moment light-hearted, he added, “I hope I have not said anything wrong.”

During his address, Ranbir also spoke about the timeless appeal of Ramayana and the values that have allowed the epic to remain meaningful across generations.
“Jai Shri Ram! Greetings to everyone. Some stories do not need to be told because they live on with us. Ramayana is one such story,” he said.
Describing the epic as a journey that teaches important lessons about relationships and character, the actor spoke about its messages of being a good son, a loving husband, a responsible father and a true friend.
Ranbir also expressed his belief that audiences would experience something special when they watched the film in theatres. He said the story could inspire goodness in people and hoped the cinematic adaptation would leave a lasting impression on viewers.
For the actor, playing Lord Rama is a significant responsibility, given the cultural and spiritual importance of the character. His comments at the Hyderabad event reflected his desire to approach the film with sincerity and respect for the story.
