Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut has shared her views on the shocking Ketan Agarwal murder case, saying that parents should not be held responsible for the actions of their children. Her comments came after Siya Goyal’s father made an emotional statement, saying that if his daughter is found guilty, she should face the strictest possible punishment.
The case has sparked widespread discussion across the country after businessman Ketan Agarwal died during a trip to Lohagad Fort near Lonavala. What was initially believed to be an accidental fall has now turned into an alleged murder investigation.
Kangana Reacts To Siya Goyal’s Father’s Statement
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana responded to a news headline quoting Siya Goyal’s father, who said, “If my daughter has killed Ketan, push her from the same fort.”
Reacting to the statement, Kangana wrote that judging parents based on their children’s actions is unfair in today’s world.
According to the actor, families cannot always know what is happening in the lives of young people, especially at a time when social media, artificial intelligence and digital platforms have become major influences.
“These days, just looking at families, homes or parents, you can never be sure about the sanskars (moral values) of children. What is more important is who is programming them, who they spend time with, and what influences they have on social media, AI or in real life,” she wrote.
Kangana further added that people often lead multiple lives and carefully create a positive public image that may be very different from who they really are.
She said that because of this, parents should not automatically be blamed whenever a child is accused of wrongdoing.
“Parents cannot be blamed because people are living so many parallel lives. People carefully build a desirable perception of themselves because it is all about how they are seen, not how they feel or who they really are. So families cannot be judged for children’s actions,” she added.
Siya Goyal’s Father Demands Strict Punishment
Kangana’s comments came after Siya Goyal’s father, Pravin Goyal, made an emotional appeal while speaking to ANI.
He said he considered Ketan Agarwal like his own son and insisted that justice should prevail regardless of who the accused is.
“If my daughter has committed this crime, she should receive the strictest punishment. From the same fort where Ketan fell, the accused—even if it is my own daughter—should be pushed down,” he said.
Pravin Goyal also claimed that his daughter had never informed the family that she was unhappy with the marriage proposal.

The incident took place on June 18 during a visit to Lohagad Fort near Lonavala.
Businessman Ketan Agarwal died after falling from the fort. Initially, the incident was believed to be an accident.
However, during the investigation, police allegedly uncovered evidence suggesting that the death may have been planned.
Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, soon came under investigation, along with her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary.
According to investigators, Siya had allegedly expressed reluctance about marrying Ketan. Reports claim that Ketan still wanted to continue with the relationship despite learning about her reservations.
Police Suspect Pre-Planned Murder
As the investigation progressed, police stated that the case no longer appeared to be an accidental death.
Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill reportedly said that digital evidence, mobile phone location data and call records indicate that the incident may have been pre-planned.
Investigators are now examining electronic evidence, witness statements and other forensic material as they continue to piece together the sequence of events.
Chetan Chaudhary’s Family Denies Allegations
Meanwhile, Chetan Chaudhary’s father has denied all accusations against his son.
He claimed that Chetan has been falsely implicated in the case and insisted that his son had no role in Ketan Agarwal’s death.
The investigation is still underway, and police have not yet announced the final outcome.
