Television actor Harshad Chopda has found himself at the centre of a social media debate after his intense reaction during a recent episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. The actor’s emotional outburst following a heated argument involving Shivangi Joshi and Shreya Kalra did not go down well with many viewers, with some even comparing his behaviour to the fictional character Kabir Singh.

The controversy began when Shivangi questioned Shreya about her health, asking if she was genuinely unwell. Shreya felt the question was inappropriate, leading to a heated exchange between the two contestants. Despite attempts by fellow inmate Ram Kapoor to calm the situation, the argument escalated, leaving Shivangi emotional.

After the confrontation, Shivangi went to Harshad and shared what had happened. Seeing her upset, Harshad became visibly angry and expressed his desire to confront Shreya. However, other contestants stepped in and tried to stop the situation from becoming more aggressive. Pamela also advised Harshad to control his anger and handle the matter calmly.

The episode sparked strong reactions online, with many viewers questioning Harshad’s response. Some social media users felt his protective behaviour crossed a line and criticised what they described as an aggressive reaction. A section of fans compared his actions to the intense and impulsive personality of Kabir Singh, while others discussed whether his anger was justified or unnecessary.

One viewer commented that Harshad’s reaction appeared like a “Kabir Singh-type” attitude, while another pointed out that the actor has shown signs of having difficulty controlling his anger during intense situations in the show. Some viewers also discussed Shivangi and Harshad’s equation, saying their dynamic reminded them of typical television drama-style portrayals.

However, Harshad’s emotional side has also been visible in the show. Earlier, during a conversation with Shreya, the actor opened up about his personal life, relationships, and why he has chosen to remain unmarried. He admitted that he had been in relationships before but faced difficult experiences that changed his perspective on love and trust.

Sharing his thoughts, Harshad said that while the right person can become a person’s biggest strength, finding that connection also comes with risks. He spoke about feeling emotionally unheard in relationships and said that sometimes people’s words and actions do not match.

The actor also reflected on his own nature, admitting that he often gives too much of himself in relationships. According to him, being overly available can sometimes become a weakness.

Harshad’s journey inside Lock Upp has shown multiple sides of his personality — from emotional conversations about his past to intense reactions during conflicts. While some viewers appreciate his honesty and protective nature, others believe he needs to manage his anger better as the reality show continues.

With more challenges and confrontations expected inside the house, it remains to be seen how Harshad handles pressure and whether he can change the perception that has started building around his behaviour.
