Singer Neha Kakkar has opened up about the beautiful yet unexpected journey that led to her marriage with Rohanpreet Singh. The singer revealed that her family, including her parents and brother Tony Kakkar, supported her decision to marry Rohanpreet after meeting him for only a short time.
During her appearance on Tum Ho Naa – Ghar Ki Superstar, Neha shared how quickly things moved once she realised her feelings for Rohanpreet. She recalled telling her brother Tony about her bond with Rohanpreet and how much she liked him.
“Maine Tony bhai ko bola ki Rohan mujhe bahut pasand hai. Unhone bola hum milna chahenge,” Neha shared.
Following this, Neha’s family travelled to Punjab to meet Rohanpreet and understand him better. She revealed that the meeting was brief but left a strong impression on her family.
“Sirf 15–20 minutes baithe honge… Mumma, Papa, Tony bhai ne kaha, ‘Shaadi karni hai toh Rohan se hi karo.’ Humari taraf se clearly haan hai, koi doubt hi nahi hai,” Neha said.
The singer admitted that the speed at which everything happened was surprising, even for her. While she was confident about her feelings, she also wondered if such a major life decision was happening too quickly.
“Itni quick-quick cheezein ho rahi thi… Kai baar yeh bhi ho sakta tha ki bachpana ho gaya, itni jaldi kaise aapne poori life ka decision le liya?” Neha said while reflecting on that phase of her life.
However, she explained that the comfort, understanding, and connection she felt with Rohanpreet made her believe that the decision was right. The support from her family gave her even more confidence to take the next step.
Neha and Rohanpreet tied the knot in October 2020 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Delhi. Their relationship has often been admired by fans for their affection and support for each other.
