Netflix is set to serve up a dose of chaos and comedy with its upcoming film Toaster, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. Premiering on April 15, 2026, the dark comedy takes an everyday household object and spins it into the centre of an absurdly entertaining chain of events.

A bizarre premise with hilarious consequences

Most wedding gifts are exchanged with smiles and eventually forgotten but Toaster flips that idea on its head. Makers speak

Sharing her excitement about turning producer, Patralekhaa described the project as a deeply personal milestone. She highlighted how Toaster stood out instantly for its unique concept and ability to find humour in the most unexpected situations. Collaborating with Netflix and bringing together such a dynamic cast made the journey even more special, she added.
