Netflix is set to serve up a dose of chaos and comedy with its upcoming film Toaster, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra. Premiering on April 15, 2026, the dark comedy takes an everyday household object and spins it into the centre of an absurdly entertaining chain of events.
A bizarre premise with hilarious consequences
Most wedding gifts are exchanged with smiles and eventually forgotten but Toaster flips that idea on its head. What happens when a wedding is called off after the gifts have already been given, and one person refuses to let go of what they gifted? That’s where the madness begins. What starts as a petty obsession over a toaster quickly spirals into a wildly unpredictable situation, escalating far beyond anyone’s expectations.
