Divya Vinekar Appeared in Alia Bhatt’s Darlings
Divya Vinekar was also recognised for her appearance in the 2022 film Darlings, in which she played a female police constable. The film featured Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in important roles.
Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, Darlings marked Alia Bhatt’s debut as a film producer. She co-produced the project with Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the banners of Eternal Sunshine Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.
The dark comedy-drama follows Badru, played by Alia, a woman who faces domestic abuse in her marriage. Her husband, Hamza, played by Vijay Varma, repeatedly subjects her to violence, eventually leading Badru and her mother, played by Shefali Shah, to take matters into their own hands.
