Fans Show Up Despite Heavy Rain

Every Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan steps out of Jalsa to greet fans who gather outside his home, a tradition he has maintained for decades. This week was no different, even though Mumbai witnessed heavy rainfall that led to flooding and waterlogging in several parts of the city.

Sharing photographs from the gathering on his Tumblr blog, Amitabh reflected on the emotional connection he shares with his fans.

“A wave, folded palms… a signing of autographs… and they endure and leave… my respect as always.”

He added that seeing fans arrive regardless of the weather touched him deeply.

“They come despite the weather—rain, shine, winter—and the same enthusiasm… so deeply moving for me.”

Amitabh Speaks About Mumbai’s Monsoon

The actor also acknowledged the difficult conditions that many Mumbaikars are currently facing because of the ongoing monsoon.

He noted that the rains have continued without much relief, leading to flooding in several areas while lakes around the city are gradually filling up. Although the rains are beneficial for water resources and farming, he admitted they have also created hardships for many residents.

Ending his message on a thoughtful note, Amitabh urged everyone to stay safe.

“Be well all… be safe… venture out only if absolutely urgent… all of you are too precious.”

His words resonated with fans, many of whom appreciated his concern during the difficult weather conditions.
