Akshay Kumar has opened up about his son Aarav Kumar, revealing that the star kid has no interest in joining films and is instead focused on building a career in fashion from the ground up.
The actor shared these insights in a recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra, where he spoke candidly about Aarav’s simple lifestyle, discipline, and independent approach to life.
“He Doesn’t Want To Join Films”
Akshay Kumar made it clear that Aarav has no plans to enter the film industry despite coming from a family deeply rooted in Bollywood. Instead, he is passionate about fashion and is actively learning the craft in a very unconventional way.
“He is very focused. He loves working. But he doesn’t want to join films. He has no such plan. He wants to be in fashion,” Akshay said.
Working a Modest Job and Learning from Villages
The actor revealed that Aarav is currently working and learning the basics of fashion design by travelling to villages and studying traditional techniques.
“Voh bechara aaj bhi Rs 4500 ki naukri kar raha hai. Acchi baat hai, kyun nahi? He is going to villages and learning fashion from there, different kinds of prints and everything,” Akshay shared, highlighting his son’s grounded approach.
Akshay on Parenting Style
Speaking about his parenting philosophy, Akshay said he avoids giving long lectures and prefers to let his son make his own decisions in life.
“I don’t give lectures to anyone, especially not my son. Just don’t harm anyone, don’t hurt anyone—that’s it. The rest, he should handle his own life,” he said.
Aarav’s Low-Profile Life Abroad
Born in 2002, Aarav Bhatia is the elder child of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. He moved abroad at the age of 15 for higher studies and is currently studying in London. Unlike many star kids, Aarav prefers to stay away from the spotlight and maintains a private lifestyle.
His younger sister Nitara, born in 2012, occasionally appears on social media shared by their mother, but Aarav continues to stay away from public attention.

He will next be seen in Welcome To The Jungle, an ensemble comedy slated for release on June 26, featuring Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, and others.
