Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently shared an emotional yet humorous memory from her childhood while shooting a cooking vlog with actress Tanishaa Mukerji. During their candid conversation, Farah opened up about how one film failure changed her family’s financial condition overnight and jokingly blamed filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s father, veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, for it.

The conversation happened while Farah visited Tanishaa Mukerji’s home for one of her popular cooking vlogs. The two spent time cooking together, touring the house and sharing stories about their families and struggles in the film industry.

While sitting on a swing on the terrace, Farah recalled the difficult phase her family faced many years ago. In a funny tone, she revealed that she often tells Ayan Mukerji that his father was responsible for her family becoming poor.

Farah shared that her father had produced his first big colour film starring Deb Mukherjee in the lead role. Unfortunately, the film failed badly at the box office, which caused severe financial problems for the family.

She said that during those days, filmmakers used to put their own money into making films, unlike today where studios and corporate companies mostly fund projects. According to Farah, the film released on Friday and by Monday their financial condition had completely changed.

The film she was talking about was the 1971 movie Aisa Bhi Hota Hai, which starred Deb Mukherjee, Nandita Bose, Tun Tun and Jalal Agha.

Farah’s story also highlighted how uncertain life in the film industry used to be for producers and filmmakers. One successful film could completely change a family’s future, while one flop could create years of financial hardship.

Reacting to Farah’s story, Tanishaa Mukerji revealed that her own family also experienced similar ups and downs because of the film business. She explained that whenever films produced by her father Shomu Mukherjee failed, the family would struggle financially for years.

Tanishaa shared that film families often lived according to box office success, and difficult periods were very common during those times.

The vlog quickly grabbed attention online because of the honest and relatable conversation between the two actresses. Fans appreciated Farah Khan for openly speaking about her struggles despite being one of Bollywood’s most successful choreographers and filmmakers today.

Farah Khan’s cooking vlogs have become extremely popular on social media because of her funny personality and natural conversations with celebrities. Her cook Dilip has also become an internet favourite because of his comic timing and chemistry with Farah.

The videos usually feature celebrity house tours, cooking sessions and personal stories from Bollywood stars that fans rarely hear elsewhere.

Farah had earlier revealed that the success of her vlogs helped Dilip clear his debts and even begin building a house in his hometown, making the series even more special for viewers.

Meanwhile, Farah Khan is also preparing for her next directorial film, which she confirmed will star Shah Rukh Khan. The duo has previously delivered blockbuster films like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.

Fans are now excited not only for Farah’s upcoming film but also for more fun celebrity stories from her popular vlog series.
