Soon after joining the saffron party, he became one of its most recognisable television faces. As the BJP’s national spokesperson, Poonawalla regularly appeared in political debates, strongly defending the party’s policies and taking on opposition leaders, particularly Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
Known for his sharp debating style and active presence on social media, Poonawalla built a reputation as one of the BJP’s most vocal spokespersons.
