Television actor Eva Grover has made shocking revelations about her former husband, Hyder Ali Khan, who is also Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s stepbrother. In a candid interview, Eva spoke about her abusive marriage, Hyder’s alleged mental health struggles, and his current financial condition, claiming that he is now struggling even for basic necessities like food and shelter.
Eva Grover Opens Up About Painful Marriage
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Eva recalled meeting Hyder Ali Khan through a mutual friend. According to her, the two fell in love quickly, and after dating for just 18 days, Hyder proposed marriage.
Since her mother was reportedly against the relationship, the couple decided to elope and tied the knot in 2000.
However, Eva claimed that her married life took a disturbing turn almost immediately. She alleged that she was unaware Hyder was living with schizophrenia before the wedding and only came to know about his condition later.
The actress further alleged that on the third day of their marriage, Hyder physically assaulted her, leaving her bruised and traumatized.
‘I Faced a Lot of Violence’
Eva claimed that her former husband became increasingly suspicious and often imagined situations that did not exist. She also alleged that his alcohol consumption worsened his condition.
Despite the alleged abuse, Eva said she continued trying to save the marriage for nearly five years, hoping things would improve.
According to her, the relationship continued to be violent, but she stayed on until after the birth of their daughter. Eventually, divorce proceedings began, and she returned to her mother’s home.
Claims About Aamir Khan
During the interview, Eva also spoke about Aamir Khan’s alleged involvement during that difficult period.
She claimed that she had heard, through others, that Aamir believed she was making the wrong decision by marrying Hyder. According to Eva, the actor had distanced himself from that side of the family.
She further alleged that during filmmaker Tahir Hussain’s final days, Aamir took care of him but maintained distance from other family members. These are Eva Grover’s personal claims, and Aamir Khan has not publicly responded to them.
Eva Says Hyder Is Now Living in Difficult Conditions
Despite everything she says she experienced during the marriage, Eva admitted that she still feels compassion for Hyder.
According to her, Hyder is currently living in extremely difficult circumstances.
She claimed that he has no permanent home and often depends on friends or acquaintances for a place to stay. Sometimes, she said, he finds temporary shelter in a chawl, while at other times friends help him survive.
Eva also alleged that he struggles to arrange food and is surrounded by people who encourage him to consume alcohol rather than helping him recover.
Expressing sadness over his situation, she said that regardless of their painful past, Hyder was once her husband, and she hopes he eventually finds peace.
Who Is Hyder Ali Khan?
Hyder Ali Khan is Aamir Khan’s stepbrother. He is the son of Shanaz from her first marriage. After Shanaz married filmmaker Tahir Hussain, Hyder became a part of the Khan family, although he is not Tahir Hussain’s biological son.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Hyder reportedly worked as a cabin crew member with Qatar Airways.
