As excitement builds around Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt’s upcoming wedding on July 5, fans are curious to know which celebrities will be part of the intimate celebration. Among them is actor Ali Fazal, who is currently working with Aamir Khan on the much-awaited film Batwara 1947.
During a recent interaction, Ali was asked whether he would be attending the wedding. While he didn’t give a definite answer, the actor shared that his busy schedule might make it difficult for him to be present.
Ali revealed that he is likely to be occupied with promotional commitments for Mirzapur during the same period. The actor explained that several promotional activities are planned throughout that week and most of them will take place outside Mumbai.
Although he remains unsure about attending the ceremony, Ali had nothing but warm wishes for Aamir. He spoke highly of the superstar, describing him as someone he has always admired and respected throughout his career.

Ali said he was genuinely happy for Aamir as he begins a new chapter in his personal life and wished him the very best for the future.
Aamir Khan is set to marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5 in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family. The couple reportedly kept their relationship away from the spotlight for nearly 18 months before making it public. Aamir officially introduced Gauri to the world on his 60th birthday celebration last year.
The actor was previously married to Reena Dutta and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao. Despite their separation, Aamir continues to share a cordial relationship with both.
Apart from discussing the wedding, Ali also opened up about his upcoming projects. The actor admitted that he was initially hesitant about committing to another long-format project after the success of Mirzapur. According to him, such projects demand a significant investment of time and energy.
However, he eventually agreed because he felt strongly connected to the story and believed it was a project worth being part of. Ali explained that what attracted him most was the depth of his character and the scope to interpret emotions beyond what was written on paper.
The actor described his role as a complete contrast to the chaos and criminal world surrounding the main narrative. He added that the character relies heavily on subtext rather than lengthy dialogues, making the performance even more challenging and exciting.
On the work front, Ali Fazal has an impressive line-up ahead. He will play a key role in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Batwara 1947, backed by Aamir Khan Productions. He is also set to appear in Shakun Batra’s segment of the next installment of Netflix’s anthology series Lust Stories.
With multiple high-profile projects keeping him busy, Ali Fazal may or may not make it to Aamir Khan’s wedding. But one thing is certain — the actor is cheering for his producer and friend as he prepares to begin a new journey with Gauri Spratt.
