The excitement around Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming epic film Ramayana has reached new heights after filmmaker Atlee shared his first reaction to the much-awaited trailer. After watching the trailer at a special screening event in Delhi, the Jawan director praised the film’s scale, visuals, and performances, calling it a truly epic cinematic experience.

Taking to social media, Atlee expressed his admiration for the team behind the film. He praised director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra for their vision and said that every frame of the trailer looked grand and magical.

Atlee was especially impressed by the performances of the lead cast. He described Yash, who plays the role of Ravana, as “unbelievably lethal,” while praising Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram and calling him “stunning.” He also appreciated Sai Pallavi’s presence as Sita, describing her performance as graceful and captivating.

The trailer was unveiled during a grand promotional event titled ‘Pratham Sankalp’ held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event brought together the film’s star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Ravi Dubey, offering audiences a first glimpse into the scale and ambition of the project.

During the event, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the responsibility of portraying Lord Ram and paid tribute to veteran actor Arun Govil, who became iconic for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s television series Ramayan. Ranbir said that Govil’s performance had inspired generations and expressed his hope to carry forward the role with sincerity and respect.

Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman in the film, also shared his gratitude for being part of such a significant project. He said that portraying Hanuman is a huge responsibility but described the character as powerful, devoted, innocent, and loved by everyone.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 is expected to be one of the biggest Indian cinematic projects ever made. The film features a powerful ensemble cast, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

Scheduled to release worldwide on November 8, 2026, during Diwali, Ramayana has already generated massive anticipation among audiences. With Atlee’s glowing review adding to the excitement, fans are eagerly waiting to witness the grand retelling of one of India’s most revered epics on the big screen.
