A firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area has raised fresh concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities. The incident, which reportedly took place on October 18, 2026, has also been followed by an alleged threatening audio message directed at Salman Khan and his family.

According to media reports, a person identified as Anil Pandit, who has claimed responsibility for the firing, allegedly issued a fresh warning to Salman Khan. The speaker reportedly demanded that Salman apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community, while also warning people in the film industry who continue to work with the actor.

However, the claim of responsibility and the authenticity of the audio message have not been independently verified. Mumbai Police are investigating the shooting and the alleged threats.

Tiger Shroff Escapes Serious Injury in Firing Incident

According to reports, three bike-borne assailants opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s BMW in Juhu on Sunday evening. The actor escaped without a gunshot injury, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver reportedly sustained gunshot injuries. Both injured individuals were said to be in stable condition.

Reports also stated that Tiger suffered injuries to his left hand caused by gunpowder and glass shards. The incident reportedly left the actor and his family shaken.

Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams to investigate the attack and track down those responsible. A manhunt has been launched, while the authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Shortly after the incident, two alleged operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified in reports as Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, reportedly claimed responsibility. Their claims remain subject to police investigation.

Eknath Shinde Meets Tiger Shroff, Assures Support

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Tiger Shroff following the incident and assured the actor and his family that the state government would support them.

After the meeting, Shinde condemned the firing and said that threats against public figures would not be tolerated in Mumbai.

“I met with the actor; he has injuries on his left hand caused by gunpowder and shards of glass,” Shinde said, according to ANI.

He added that Tiger and his mother were shaken by the incident and assured them that the administration stood with the family in the face of the threats.

Shinde also stressed that the authorities would take the matter seriously and work towards bringing those responsible to justice.

Cine Workers’ Association Writes to Amit Shah

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA), led by president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking urgent intervention following the firing incident.

In its letter, the association described the attack as a serious concern for the film industry and called for stronger measures to protect actors and their families.

AICWA has sought full security for Tiger Shroff and his family, the arrest of the shooters and those who allegedly ordered the attack, and a fast-track trial under strict laws. It has also called for central agencies, including the National Investigation Agency, to investigate possible gang networks in coordination with Maharashtra Police.

The association further demanded a dedicated task force for the safety of film industry members, accountability for security failures and a time-bound report on the action taken.

AICWA also referred to previous incidents involving celebrities, including Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Rohit Shetty and Kapil Sharma, arguing that repeated threats have created concern across the entertainment industry.

The association said that the film industry provides livelihoods to lakhs of people and warned that continued fear of criminal networks could affect the sense of security among those working in Bollywood.

Arvind Kejriwal Reacts to the Shooting

The incident also triggered a political reaction, with Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal criticising the Centre over its handling of crime and security.

In a post on X, Kejriwal made allegations concerning Lawrence Bishnoi and questioned the government’s approach to law and order. He also warned against the alleged influence of criminal networks and referred to Punjab in his criticism.

His remarks added a political dimension to the incident, even as the investigation into the firing continued.

Fresh Threat Raises Concerns for Bollywood

The reported audio warning directed at Salman Khan and his family has added to concerns following the attack on Tiger Shroff’s vehicle. The speaker allegedly warned people in the film industry against continuing to work with Salman, but the authenticity and source of the message remain unverified.

For now, the focus remains on the Mumbai Police investigation, the search for the alleged shooters and the safety of Tiger Shroff and his family. Authorities will need to establish who carried out the firing, whether the reported gang claims are genuine and whether the alleged threats are connected to the attack.

The incident has once again brought the issue of celebrity security into focus, with calls from political leaders and industry representatives for decisive action against those responsible for violence and intimidation.
