Namita Thapar Opens Up About Two Failed IVF Attempts, Highlights Emotional Toll and Lack of Awareness
Businesswoman and investor Namita Thapar has once again spoken candidly about her personal IVF journey, sharing her experiences of emotional distress, physical challenges, and the need for better awareness around fertility treatments.
Taking to social media, the Shark Tank India judge revealed that she has undergone two failed IVF attempts and described the process as emotionally and mentally overwhelming.
“Emotions, trauma and misinformation run high”
In her post, Namita wrote that IVF is not just a medical process but one that comes with significant emotional strain. She said, “I have gone through 2 failed IVF & I can assure you that this is a time where not only emotions, trauma but also misinformation & ignorance runs high.”
She also emphasized the importance of medical awareness before undergoing fertility treatments, pointing out that underlying health issues—such as iron deficiency, which is common among women in India—should not be ignored before IVF procedures.
Raising awareness about fertility health
Namita highlighted the lack of basic education and awareness surrounding fertility and reproductive health. She stressed that proper medical checks and informed decision-making are essential before starting IVF, especially in a country where women’s health issues often go undiagnosed.
Her post has sparked conversations online about the need for better reproductive healthcare awareness and emotional support systems for couples undergoing fertility treatments.
