Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal had an unexpected reaction when he learned that Aamir Khan is all set to marry his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5. The actor, who attended the screening of Pritam and Pedro in Mumbai, expressed his happiness for the couple and wished them a lifetime of joy.
During a media interaction at the event, Vicky was informed that Aamir had officially confirmed his wedding plans. Clearly surprised by the news, he smiled and responded, “Acha? (Is it?) I just wish them all the best and I’m so happy for them.”
His warm response quickly caught the attention of fans, who appreciated the heartfelt wishes for the couple.
Aamir Khan, who was also present at the screening along with his son Junaid Khan, later confirmed that he and Gauri Spratt will get married on July 5 in an intimate ceremony at their home.
Sharing details about the wedding, Aamir said that the celebration will be a private affair with only close family members and a few longtime friends in attendance.
“Yes, I’m getting married on July 5. It’s going to be a very small wedding at home. July 5 is a very special day for us. Both our families and a few close friends will be there. We want to keep it simple, and we hope everyone blesses us as we begin this new chapter,” the actor said.
Unlike the grand celebrity weddings often seen in Bollywood, Aamir has chosen to celebrate the occasion in a quiet and personal way, away from the spotlight.
Aamir first introduced Gauri Spratt to the public during his 60th birthday celebrations earlier this year. He revealed that they had first met nearly 25 years ago but later lost contact. After reconnecting years later, their friendship gradually developed into a relationship. Since making their romance public, the couple have appeared together at several events while largely keeping their personal life private.
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. After their divorce, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. Although they separated in 2021, they continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. Gauri Spratt also has a son from her previous marriage.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film Love & War, where he will share screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film is slated for release in January 2027.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is looking forward to the release of his upcoming production Batwara 1947. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the period drama stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh and Khushi Hajare in key roles and is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
As Aamir prepares to begin a new chapter in his personal life, wishes continue to pour in from fans and colleagues across the film industry, with Vicky Kaushal’s heartfelt reaction adding to the celebration.
