Actor Vijay Varma has addressed a viral screenshot circulating on social media that claimed to show him sharing his views on reservation, privilege, and social inequality. The actor clarified that the post was fake and denied ever sharing such a statement on his Instagram Story.
For the past few days, a screenshot allegedly from Vijay’s Instagram account had been widely shared online. The post sparked discussions and debates around reservation and privilege, with many users believing that the views expressed in it belonged to the actor.
As the controversy gained attention, Vijay took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight. Sharing the viral screenshot, he wrote, “I never posted this. This is all false.” He later shared the screenshot again and repeated that it was not his Instagram Story.
The viral post contained a personal anecdote about privilege and reservation. It described differences in the economic backgrounds of two friends and argued that reservation provides equal opportunities to those who face social and financial disadvantages. However, Vijay made it clear that the statement was falsely attributed to him.

While denying the viral post, Vijay Varma has previously been vocal about social issues. The actor has shown support for the student protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over alleged NEET paper leak concerns and examination irregularities.
He also reacted to the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the controversy by sharing a reference from the song “Channa Mereya” from the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which drew attention from his followers.
