Tanya Mittal begins shooting first show with Ektaa Kapoor after Bigg Boss 19 stint; calls it a ‘dream come true’
Bigg Boss 19 fame Tanya Mittal has officially stepped into fiction television as she begins shooting for her debut acting project with producer Ektaa Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. The yet-untitled show marks a major milestone in Tanya’s career, transitioning from reality television to mainstream fiction.
The actor shared her excitement with fans through a video from her vanity van, announcing that the shoot for her first show has officially begun.
“Star toh ban gaye”: Tanya on her big break
In the video, Tanya Mittal expressed her happiness and gratitude as she started this new chapter. “Finally the shoot of my first show has started with Balaji. I am so happy. This is a different feeling. Star toh ban gaye aur pehla show bhi sign hogaya,” she said.
She further added that her success is deeply connected to her fans, crediting them for supporting her journey. “I am very excited for all the fans because it’s their dream. I have just done a little hard work but they have done more. So everybody, congratulations, we have started the shoot of our first show,” she said.

Along with the video, Tanya also shared a heartfelt message on social media, dedicating the moment to her supporters. She wrote that the milestone belongs not just to her but to everyone who believed in her journey.
She also thanked Ektaa Kapoor for the opportunity, calling it a turning point in her career. Tanya described the project as a “shared dream” and promised to put her “heart and soul” into the show.

From Bigg Boss to Balaji Telefilms
Tanya’s entry into television was first hinted during her stint on Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan. During the season, Ektaa Kapoor had entered the house to promote Naagin 7 and revealed her interest in casting Tanya and singer-composer Amaal Mallik in upcoming projects.
At the time, Tanya had called the offer a “dream come true,” which has now materialised into her official acting debut.
