The recognition came during Income Tax Day celebrations in Dehradun, where the Income Tax Department highlighted Pant’s contribution to the state. According to the department, the cricketer paid ₹23.84 crore in income tax during the financial year, making him the highest individual taxpayer from Uttarakhand for the period.
What makes the figure even more notable is the sharp increase compared with the previous financial year. Pant’s tax contribution reportedly more than doubled, reflecting the significant growth in his earnings during the year.
