The Indian box office witnessed another packed week with big milestones, record-breaking collections, and a few disappointing performances across Bollywood and Hollywood releases. From Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge rewriting history to Bhooth Bangla finally crossing the ₹150 crore mark, audiences continue to show strong interest in theatres despite varied genres competing at the box office.

Here’s a complete look at the latest box office performances.

Dhurandhar 2 Continues Historic Run

Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar’s spy action film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to dominate even on Day 50.

The film earned around ₹0.50 crore net on its 50th day, taking its total India net collection to a massive ₹1,140.67 crore. Its India gross now stands at ₹1,365.20 crore, while overseas collections have reached ₹426.35 crore.

With a worldwide total of ₹1,791.55 crore, the film has officially surpassed Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.

Despite completing 50 days in theatres, the film is still maintaining decent occupancy, especially during afternoon and evening shows.

Bhooth Bangla Finally Crosses ₹150 Crore

Bhooth Bangla - Box Office Collection Day 21 | Sacnilk

Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla finally crossed the ₹150 crore India net mark after weeks of steady performance.

By Day 21, the film’s India net collection reached ₹150 crore, while India gross touched ₹177.98 crore. Worldwide earnings currently stand at approximately ₹234.93 crore.

Although weekday occupancy remains moderate, the film continues to attract family audiences, particularly in afternoon and evening shows.

The film has now become the third Bollywood release of 2026 to cross ₹150 crore domestically after Border 2 and Dhurandhar 2.

Michael Becomes Surprise Hollywood Hit in India

Michael India box office: Michael Jackson biopic off to good start; beats Dhurandhar 2, Bhooth Bangla on their home turf | Hollywood

The musical biopic Michael starring Jaafar Jackson continues its impressive run in India.

The film collected ₹20.55 crore during its second week and has now reached ₹51.80 crore gross in just 14 days.

Trade analysts expect the film to cross ₹60 crore soon and potentially finish near ₹75 crore gross in India a remarkable number for a musical biopic.

The film has already broken records for Hollywood musical films in India, outperforming releases like Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Raja Shivaji Crosses ₹50 Crore in First Week

Raja Shivaji crosses ₹50 crore net in record first week

Riteish Deshmukh’s historical drama Raja Shivaji has emerged as a strong performer, especially in Maharashtra.

The film crossed ₹50 crore in its first week, earning approximately ₹52.65 crore net domestically within seven days.

The Marathi version has reportedly performed far better than the Hindi version, with audiences appreciating the large-scale portrayal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life.

The film also stars Genelia D’Souza, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and features a cameo by Salman Khan.

Ek Din Struggles at the Box Office

Box Office Forecast for Day 1 of Ek Din: Junaid's Film Expected to Underperform, Falling Short of Loveyapa's Figures | Zoom TV

While some films are thriving, Ek Din starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi has turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of the year.

The romantic drama wrapped its first week with only ₹4 crore net collection in India. Worldwide earnings currently stand at approximately ₹5.16 crore.

Despite marking Sai Pallavi’s Hindi debut and being backed by Aamir Khan’s production banner, the film failed to connect with audiences.

Trade experts believe weak word-of-mouth and low audience engagement significantly affected its performance.

Final Word

The latest box office numbers clearly show a diverse audience taste in 2026. Big action spectacles like Dhurandhar 2 continue to dominate, while horror comedies, historical dramas, and even musical biopics are finding strong support.

At the same time, films with weaker audience connection are struggling despite star power and promotions, proving once again that content and word-of-mouth remain the biggest deciding factors at the box office today.
