Dalip described how financial pressures escalated after enrolling his son into structured cricket training. He sold his house for ₹21 lakh to fund his development and later started a small business, but loan repayments became overwhelming. At one point, he even spent time in jail due to inability to repay instalments, though he strongly maintained that there was no fraudulent intent behind his actions.
Despite criticism from relatives and social isolation, Dalip said those hardships only strengthened his resolve. “People called me a madman… but it made me more determined,” he recalled.
