Speculation surrounding a possible relationship between Kalyani Priyadarshan and Pranav Mohanlal has resurfaced online, but fresh clarification from the actor’s family has once again shut down the rumours.
The latest round of discussion began after social media users revived claims of a wedding between the two actors, who were seen together in the 2022 film Hridayam. In the film, they portrayed a married couple, and their on-screen chemistry—combined with the long-standing friendship between their families—has repeatedly fueled speculation about a real-life relationship.
However, the rumours were firmly dismissed by Kalyani’s mother, former actor Lissy Priyadarshan, in a recent social media interaction. While responding to a comment under her Vishu greeting post, she directly addressed the speculation and stated, “This is false news,” putting an immediate end to the renewed chatter.
This is not the first time such rumours have circulated. Earlier, filmmaker Alleppey Ashraf had also addressed the speculation, reportedly clarifying in an interview that there is no romantic relationship between Kalyani and Pranav. He described their bond as one of long-standing familiarity and friendship, rooted in the close association between their families. He also emphasized that there had never been any romantic involvement between them.
Despite periodic online speculation, those close to both families have consistently denied any such relationship, reiterating that the actors share a cordial and familial bond rather than a romantic one.
On the professional front, Kalyani Priyadarshan continues to focus on upcoming projects, including Lokah Chapter 2, which is expected to begin filming in September 2026.
