Krunal Pandya has addressed long-standing rumours surrounding his relationship with brother and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, laughing off speculation of a rift during a recent appearance on an IPL podcast.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder, currently playing in the Indian Premier League 2026 season, was speaking on the RCB podcast with Danish Sait when he was asked playfully whether everything was fine between him and Hardik. The question referenced ongoing social media chatter that has, for years, fuelled speculation about tension between the two brothers.

Responding with a smile, Krunal quickly dismissed the rumours, confirming that there was no issue between them. When asked again in a humorous tone if there was any “fighting,” he continued to laugh it off and reiterated that things were normal. His light-hearted reaction suggested that the widely circulated claims of discord have little basis.

The conversation gained further attention as fans had recently been analysing moments from RCB’s match against Mumbai Indians, where Krunal bowled to Hardik. Clips from the encounter circulated online, with some viewers attempting to read emotional undertones into their on-field interaction. However, Krunal’s comments have now largely put those interpretations to rest.

During the same conversation, Krunal also addressed another incident that had drawn attention online — allegations that he had sledged a young player, Mukul Choudhary, during a previous match. He clarified that his comments were misunderstood and were intended as casual advice rather than criticism.

“I didn’t sledge him, I just said he’s a young player and can hit sixes over long-on or long-off,” Krunal explained, adding that his on-field communication is often misread due to his serious appearance. “People think I am very serious and angry, but I am not,” he said.

On the cricketing front, Krunal has been an important contributor for RCB this season, impressing with his improved bowling variations and aggressive approach in T20 cricket. His development as a left-arm spinner, along with his ability to chip in with the bat, has strengthened his value in the team setup.

As RCB continue their strong start in the tournament, Krunal is also believed to be eyeing a return to the Indian national side, hoping consistent performances will bring him back into contention for international selection.

For now, however, the cricketer appears focused on his game, putting an end — at least temporarily — to the speculation surrounding his relationship with his brother and shifting attention back to his performances on the field.
