BJP MP and veteran actor Hema Malini has shared her views on the ongoing protest led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) near Parliament, saying that issues should be resolved through discussion rather than protests.
Speaking to the media after attending the first day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament in New Delhi, Hema Malini said that raising concerns through proper dialogue is a better way to find solutions. She added that protests of this nature would not help resolve the matter.
“If there is any problem, it should be discussed properly. Protesting in this way will not achieve anything,” Hema Malini said. She also highlighted the government’s focus on youth and education, stating that the administration has taken several steps for students and the education system.
The actor-turned-politician further appealed that students should not be influenced without understanding the complete situation. She said that discussions should involve students and their concerns should be addressed in a meaningful manner.
Hema Malini, however, chose not to comment on the protesters’ demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The demand has been a key point of the CJP-led demonstrations, which are focused on alleged examination irregularities and concerns raised by students.

CJP Protest Gains Support From Film Industry
The protest has also received support from several members of the film industry. Actors including Prakash Raj, Shabana Azmi, and Poonam Pandey visited the protest site at Jantar Mantar and expressed solidarity with the demonstrators.
Prakash Raj joined protesters on stage and shared his support for their cause, while Shabana Azmi was seen encouraging those who had been on hunger strike for several days. Poonam Pandey also spoke about the movement, stating that the protest was about students’ concerns and not related to politics or religion.
Other celebrities, including Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Chinmayi Sripaada, have also extended their support through social media.
Protest Updates
The demonstrations intensified as protesters attempted to march towards Parliament, leading to clashes with security personnel. The CJP representatives have been demanding accountability over alleged examination issues and action from authorities.
Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke ended his indefinite hunger strike following a request from activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after his 21-day hunger strike affected his health.
Amid the ongoing developments, CJP representatives Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das also met Union Health Minister JP Nadda to discuss their concerns.
As the protest continues to draw attention, voices from both sides have highlighted the need for a resolution—while protesters demand action, leaders like Hema Malini have called for dialogue and peaceful discussions to address the issues.
