Internet Buzzes Over Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal Family Meet-Up Video: “Are They Back Together?”

A recent video circulating on social media has sparked fresh speculation about the relationship between Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal, whose wedding was called off last year.

The Viral Clip

The clip shows Smriti Mandhana’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, meeting Palash Muchhal’s sister, singer Palak Muchhal, and her husband, music composer Mithoon, at a restaurant in Mumbai. In the video, Palak Muchhal is seen greeting Srinivas by touching his feet—a traditional Indian gesture of respect.

While there has been no official explanation for the meeting, the interaction has led many online users to speculate whether the two families are reconnecting after the previously called-off wedding.

Mixed Reactions on Social Media

The video quickly went viral, triggering a flurry of reactions. Fans and netizens expressed curiosity, surprise, and a mix of emotions about what the meeting might signify.

One user wrote, “I am surprised …are they back together?” while another commented, “What’s happening?” Others questioned, “They have reconciled?” Some even suggested that the clip might be old and unrelated to current events.

Background: Called-Off Wedding

Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were originally scheduled to marry on November 23, 2025, in Sangli, Maharashtra. However, the wedding was first postponed indefinitely and later cancelled.

Mandhana addressed the situation at the time in an Instagram post, emphasizing her desire for privacy. She wrote, “Over the past few weeks there has been plenty of speculation around my life and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off.”

She added, “I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace.”

Allegations and Denials

The wedding controversy had been further complicated by allegations from Mandhana’s friend, Vidnyan Mane, who claimed that Palash Muchhal had been caught cheating during the wedding celebrations. According to Mane, the incident took place on November 23, 2025, and led to a confrontation involving several Indian female cricketers.

Palash Muchhal strongly denied the allegations, calling them baseless and malicious. He said, “In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect. They have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and they will not go unchallenged.”

He further added that his lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all legal avenues and that the matter will be addressed strictly through appropriate legal channels.

What the Future Holds

While the video has reignited curiosity about the relationship between Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal, both families have not commented on whether this meeting signals a reconciliation or was simply a casual family interaction.

For now, the social media speculation continues, with fans closely watching any further updates from the cricketer or the singer-composer.
