However, one noticeable absence on social media sent fans into a frenzy — actress Trisha Krishnan, who has been rumoured to be dating Vijay, did not post a birthday message for him this year.
The lack of a public wish led to speculation on social media, with some fans even claiming that Trisha had unfollowed Vijay on Instagram, sparking rumours of trouble between the two.
Trisha’s Birthday Wishes Became A Tradition
Over the past few years, Trisha has made it a point to wish Vijay on his birthday with heartfelt posts.
In 2023, she shared a picture with him from the sets of Leo and captioned it, “HBD you!” along with heart, cake and infinity emojis.
The following year, she posted a viral mirror selfie with Vijay and wrote, “The calm to a storm, the storm to a calm! To many more milestones ahead.”
In 2025, she shared a sweet picture of Vijay spending time with her pet and called him “bestest” while wishing him a happy birthday.
But this year, as of now, there has been no public birthday post from Trisha, leaving fans puzzled.

Soon after Vijay’s birthday, several users on X (formerly Twitter) began claiming that Trisha had unfollowed the actor on Instagram. Some interpreted the absence of a birthday wish as a sign that the rumoured couple had parted ways.
Others even speculated that Vijay might be reconciling with his estranged wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam. Reports suggest that their divorce proceedings are currently underway in a Chennai court, with allegations including infidelity reportedly forming part of the petition.

However, fans quickly pointed out that the claims were baseless. In reality, Trisha had never followed Vijay on Instagram to begin with.
