Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 Nears Historic Milestone, Inches Closer to Pushpa 2 Record

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its phenomenal box office run, although the film saw a slight dip in collections on Day 21. Despite the slowdown, the film remains firmly on track to challenge some of Indian cinema’s biggest records.

On April 8 (Day 21), Dhurandhar 2 earned Rs 7.90 crore net across 13,093 shows. This takes its total domestic net collection to an impressive Rs 1,041.27 crore, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.

Breaking Down the Numbers

The film’s global performance continues to be equally strong. On the same day, it collected Rs 3.00 crore from overseas markets, pushing its total overseas gross to Rs 407.00 crore. With this, the worldwide gross collection has soared to Rs 1,653.67 crore.

While collections dipped slightly from Tuesday’s Rs 10.10 crore, the film has maintained steady momentum overall. Its first week alone brought in a massive Rs 674.17 crore, followed by Rs 263.65 crore in the second week despite a noticeable drop.

Record Chase Continues

Dhurandhar 2 is now inching closer to surpassing the domestic record set by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which currently stands at Rs 1,234.10 crore in domestic net collections. To claim the title of India’s highest-grossing film, it still needs approximately Rs 192.83 crore more.

The film has already crossed a major milestone by beating the domestic lifetime collection of S. S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which had earned Rs 1,030.42 crore.

Strong Opening and Consistent Run

Released on March 19, the film opened to a blockbuster Rs 102.55 crore on Day 1, aided by an extended weekend. Including paid previews on March 18, it had already amassed Rs 43 crore before its official release.

During its first week, daily collections ranged between Rs 40 crore and Rs 60 crore. In the second week, the numbers stabilized between Rs 20 crore and Rs 30 crore, reflecting a typical yet strong box office trajectory for a blockbuster.

About the Film

The sequel to the 2025 hit Dhurandhar, which emerged as the highest-grossing film of that year, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has significantly raised the bar. Notably, it surpassed the lifetime collection of the original film within just 11 days.

Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film features Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. Expanding its reach, the sequel released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

With its unstoppable run and massive global earnings, Dhurandhar 2 is now poised to rewrite box office history in the coming days.
