The latest episode of Lock Upp witnessed one of its most explosive confrontations as contestants Shreya Kalra and Akanksha Choudhary got into a heated verbal argument that quickly became the talk of social media. While the fight began over comments made inside the house, it soon turned personal, with Shreya making remarks about Akanksha’s family and financial background. The exchange has now sparked a massive online debate, with many viewers accusing Shreya of crossing the line.

The drama unfolded when contestant Sufi Motiwala jokingly asked Shreya to predict whether a fight would break out in the house. Pointing towards fellow contestant Yogesh Rawat, Shreya remarked that an argument would happen within minutes if he was around.

Her comment upset Yogesh, who accused Shreya of flirting with him despite being in a relationship. Calling her “desperate,” he questioned her behaviour, which prompted Shreya to fire back. She labelled Yogesh a “cheater” and took a dig at his alleged closeness with Akanksha Choudhary.

As the argument intensified, Akanksha stepped in and asked Shreya to stop making personal remarks. However, the confrontation escalated further.

During the heated exchange, Shreya called Akanksha a “homewrecker” and made several allegations about her relationship with Yogesh. She accused Akanksha of getting involved with committed men and claimed that was her only talent.

The argument took another turn when Shreya began commenting on Akanksha’s family and financial condition. Referring to allegations of paid publicity, Shreya questioned how Akanksha could afford it if, according to her, everyone in her family was financially struggling.

Akanksha immediately responded, saying that she now earns her own money and supports herself independently.

Shreya then mentioned Akanksha’s brother, questioning how the family could be poor if he was an IAS officer. Akanksha clarified that her brother had achieved the prestigious position through his own hard work and merit, dismissing Shreya’s comments.

The exchange became so intense that even fellow contestant Sufi Motiwala was seen asking Shreya not to go “below the belt” by involving family members in the argument.

Soon after the episode aired, clips of the fight went viral across social media platforms, triggering strong reactions from viewers.

Many users criticised Shreya Kalra for dragging Akanksha’s family into a personal disagreement. Several comments described her remarks as “cheap,” “classless,” and “completely unnecessary.” Others felt that disagreements between contestants should remain personal and not involve family members who are not part of the show.

One social media user wrote that targeting someone’s family showed a “cheap mentality,” while another commented that Shreya had crossed every limit during the argument. Several viewers also pointed out that bringing financial background into the fight was insensitive and unfair.

The controversy also drew reactions from people close to Akanksha. Reality TV personality Sorab Bedi publicly criticised Shreya’s comments regarding Akanksha’s brother, stating that many IAS officers in India come from humble backgrounds and achieve success through dedication and hard work. He questioned why someone’s financial background should become a subject of mockery.

The feud between Shreya Kalra and Akanksha Choudhary did not begin inside Lock Upp. Their rivalry reportedly dates back to Splitsvilla 16, where Yogesh Rawat was accused of cheating on contestant Ruru Thakur with Akanksha. Since then, Shreya has repeatedly criticised both Yogesh and Akanksha in interviews and podcasts.

Akanksha has previously alleged that Shreya attempted to damage her reputation by making personal comments about her on multiple platforms. She also revealed that she had declined an invitation to appear on Shreya’s podcast because of their strained relationship.

With emotions running high inside the Lock Upp house, the rivalry between the two contestants has now become one of the biggest talking points of the season. While some viewers believe heated arguments are part of reality television, many feel personal attacks involving family members should never become part of the game.

As the competition progresses, it remains to be seen whether Shreya and Akanksha will be able to move past their differences or whether their long-standing feud will continue to create more explosive moments inside the Lock Upp house.
