The public war of words between actor-politician Kangana Ranaut and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has taken a fresh turn, with the student leader responding to Kangana’s sharp remarks in an interview that has quickly gone viral on social media.
Days after Kangana called Saurav “useless” and “unemployed” in a strongly worded Instagram post, Saurav chose a calmer approach while addressing the controversy. However, one light-hearted comment about Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan ended up becoming the biggest talking point.
“Maybe I Look Like Young Hrithik Roshan”
Speaking during an interview with journalist Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Saurav revealed that even his friends were surprised by the intensity of Kangana’s criticism.
Sharing a humorous anecdote, he said one of his friends joked that perhaps Kangana keeps targeting him because he resembles a younger version of Hrithik Roshan.
“One of my friends said maybe she is after my life because I look a little like young Hrithik Roshan.”
The remark immediately caught the internet’s attention because of Kangana’s highly publicised legal and personal dispute with Hrithik Roshan that dominated headlines nearly a decade ago.
Although Saurav laughed while making the comment, he clarified that he had no personal animosity towards Kangana and preferred conversations over personal attacks.
Calls for Dialogue Instead of Personal Attacks
During the interview, Saurav stressed that public disagreements should not descend into insults.
According to him, the country needs more healthy debates and respectful conversations rather than constant mudslinging.
“We should speak to each other with dignity. There is less discussion and more abuse today,” he said, adding that disagreement should never replace dialogue.
He also maintained that his criticism was directed at Kangana’s public statements and not at her personally.
Criticism Over Gen-Z Remarks
The latest exchange stems from Kangana Ranaut’s comments on the ongoing Gen-Z student protests.
The BJP MP had criticised young protesters on social media, describing their protest videos as “puke-inducing” and later calling them “Generation Gutter.” Her remarks sparked widespread criticism from several public figures, students and social media users.
Responding to those comments, Saurav argued that influential personalities should be careful while addressing young citizens.
He questioned the language used against students and said public figures have a responsibility to encourage discussion rather than demean an entire generation.
“We Have No Ill Will”
Despite the ongoing controversy, Saurav insisted that he holds no personal grudge against Kangana or members of the BJP.
He said his organisation believes in conversations rather than confrontation.
“We harbour no ill will against anybody, including BJP MPs and people in the government. We have always believed in dialogue,” he said.
His remarks suggested that while political differences may exist, they should not become personal battles.
What Kangana Ranaut Said
Kangana had earlier responded to Saurav after he criticised her comments on student protests.
In her Instagram post, she questioned his credentials as a student and wrote that she had already won two National Awards by the age of 28.
She further stated that while she balances multiple responsibilities as a Member of Parliament, filmmaker, actor, producer and entrepreneur, Saurav would never understand what it means to be in constant demand.
Calling him “useless” and “unemployed,” Kangana advised him to “learn some skill” before criticising others.
Her remarks quickly divided social media, with some supporting her outspoken style while others accused her of making the debate unnecessarily personal.
A Controversy That Continues to Grow
The exchange between Kangana Ranaut and Saurav Das has now become one of the most talked-about political-entertainment controversies online.
While Kangana has defended her views on Gen-Z protests, Saurav continues to advocate respectful dialogue, insisting that disagreements should be settled through conversation rather than insults.
His unexpected Hrithik Roshan joke may have added humour to an otherwise heated debate, but it has also reignited memories of one of Bollywood’s biggest celebrity feuds, ensuring that this public spat remains firmly in the spotlight.
