Kangana Ranaut Announces Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, A Tribute to India’s Unsung Heroes

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut is set to return to the big screen with another powerful political drama, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, following her recent film Emergency. The actor recently unveiled the first poster of the film on social media, along with its release date, offering a glimpse into a story rooted in courage, sacrifice, and humanity.

A story inspired by real events

Sharing the poster on Instagram, Kangana described the film as an “extraordinary story of ordinary people.” The visuals hint at a tense backdrop, with headlines like “Mumbai under attack” and “Hospitals on high alert,” while depicting hospital staff protecting patients amid chaos.

The film is inspired by real-life events and centres on a terrifying night when terror struck Mumbai, but inside Cama Hospital, acts of bravery ensured the safety of hundreds. According to the makers, nearly 400 lives were saved by hospital staff who risked their own safety to protect others.

Celebrating silent heroes

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata aims to highlight the often-overlooked heroism of everyday individuals—nurses, ward boys, cleaners, lift operators, security personnel, and administrative staff—who stood resilient in the face of danger.

Kangana emphasized that the film focuses on a different kind of heroism.
“Real courage is much quieter—it steps in, stays back, and does what needs to be done,” she shared, adding that the story reflects “desh bhakti in its truest sense,” where duty transforms into action.

Vision behind the film

Writer-director Manoj Tapadia described the project as more than just a thriller. He noted that while the film captures the tension of a terror-struck night, its core lies in showcasing compassion, unity, and sacrifice.

“It is about the triumph of courage over fear and honouring the unsung heroes who made life-and-death choices when it mattered most,” he said, adding that the narrative especially highlights the role of women in crisis situations.
