TCS ‘Conversion’ Case: Nida Khan’s Husband Reportedly Helped Police Track Her Location, But She Was Found Missing From Locked Premises
The case involving Tata Consultancy Services employee Nida Khan has taken new turns, with her husband reportedly providing shifting accounts of her whereabouts to police officials, even as search efforts failed to locate her.
According to officials, Khan—who is accused in the Nashik unit “conversion” and harassment-linked case—has been on the run for over a week. During questioning, her husband initially told police that she had left their residence on April 14 and was staying with a relative. However, when authorities reached the stated address, they found the house locked and both Khan and the relative’s phones switched off.
Later, her husband reportedly changed his statement again, claiming that Khan had been taken to Nashik by her aunt, identified as Noorie Sheikh. Police sources said her current whereabouts remain unknown.
Background of the Case
The controversy began after a complaint was filed at the TCS Nashik branch alleging workplace misconduct and coercion linked to religious conversion attempts. As the investigation expanded, more employees came forward with allegations of harassment and administrative negligence within the unit.
So far, several employees have been arrested in connection with the case, including six men and a woman HR head. Investigators are also probing claims that multiple complaints were not addressed through internal company channels.

Suspension and Company Response
Khan was suspended from TCS on April 9 following what the company described as a “serious matter.” Her suspension letter stated that she would not be allowed to access company systems or report to work pending further investigation.
Meanwhile, Tata Consultancy Services issued an official clarification on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Nida Khan is not an HR manager and has no recruitment responsibilities, contrary to claims circulating online. The company confirmed she worked as a process associate without leadership duties.
TCS also noted that no formal complaints had been received through its ethics or POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) channels related to the allegations. It further announced the formation of an oversight committee led by independent director Keki Mistry, along with external reviewers to ensure a thorough internal investigation.
Legal Developments
Khan has reportedly filed for anticipatory bail, with her legal team arguing that she is being wrongly implicated and is currently untraceable. Her lawyer has stated that there are no direct allegations of criminal conduct against her.
Authorities continue their search as the investigation into the wider workplace misconduct allegations remains ongoing.
