Shraddha Kapoor in Talks for Mahavatar Opposite Vicky Kaushal
Shraddha Kapoor is reportedly in advanced discussions to headline Mahavatar, an upcoming film directed by Amar Kaushik. If finalized, the project will see her paired opposite Vicky Kaushal for the first time, marking a fresh on-screen collaboration.
According to industry reports, Vicky Kaushal is already set to portray the powerful and mythological figure of Chiranjeevi Parashurama in the film. The makers are said to be keen on casting an actress who not only fits the character but also brings strong screen presence and star appeal—qualities they believe Shraddha Kapoor embodies.
A source quoted by Mid-Day revealed that Shraddha is currently one of the top choices for the role. “Shraddha fits the brief perfectly. The team was keen on someone who brings star value and presence. Plus, the Vicky-Shraddha pairing will be fresh, and the makers are confident this combination will resonate with the audience,” the source shared.
The film is expected to go on floors after June, once the casting is finalized and pre-production work is completed. However, Shraddha Kapoor has not yet officially confirmed her involvement in the project.
If the deal goes through, Mahavatar could become one of the most anticipated films, combining mythological storytelling with a new and intriguing lead pair.
