Star-Studded Cast Returns
Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, reprising his character Hamza Ali Mazari. The film also sees the return of key cast members, including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, all reprising their roles from the first installment.
About the Film
Set against the gritty backdrop of Lyari, a Karachi neighborhood notorious for gang wars and turf battles, the Dhurandhar series blends historical geopolitical events with high-stakes espionage. The first film depicted covert intelligence operations intertwined with incidents like the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
The sequel charts the rise of Hamza Ali Mazari in Karachi’s underworld while also exploring his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. It traces the journey of a young man transforming into a covert operative, offering a gripping mix of action, suspense, and emotional stakes.
With critical acclaim, fan admiration, and box office records already in place, Dhar’s sequel is being hailed as a defining moment in modern Indian cinema a sentiment echoed strongly by Rakesh Roshan himself.
