The incident occurred after floodwaters breached the boundary wall of the HPCL LPG Bottling Plant in Rasayani, causing cylinders stored at the facility to be carried away by the strong water current.
Videos showing hundreds of cylinders floating downstream quickly went viral on social media, raising concerns among residents living near the river.
Authorities immediately issued warnings asking people not to touch, collect, or move any floating cylinders, as damaged LPG cylinders could pose a serious risk of fire, gas leakage, or explosion.
