The ongoing controversy surrounding Don 3 and Ranveer Singh’s reported exit from the project has taken a new turn after actor Suniel Shetty came out in strong support of the Bollywood star.
Reports suggesting differences between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment, along with claims of a ₹45 crore compensation demand, have sparked widespread discussion in the industry. While neither Ranveer Singh nor the production house has issued an official statement confirming the details, the speculation continues to dominate headlines.
Amid the buzz, Suniel Shetty addressed the issue during a conversation with Times Now, firmly defending Ranveer Singh and opposing the idea of banning actors in the film industry.
“Nobody can ban an actor, nobody can ban art. Nobody has the right to. The Supreme Court will throw out the matter in a second,” Suniel said, emphasizing that creative freedom cannot be restricted through such disputes.
He further added that both Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh are sensible individuals and expressed confidence that the matter could be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding rather than conflict.
Defending Ranveer Singh’s contribution to Indian cinema, Suniel Shetty said, “Who are you to ban? Try and understand that this kid has given you 3 and half thousand crore revenue to the industry… Why would you want to ban him? If you ban something that people want to watch, what exactly are you trying to achieve?”
His comments have sparked fresh reactions across social media, with many fans appreciating his outspoken support for Ranveer Singh during a time of uncertainty around Don 3.
The film, directed by Farhan Akhtar, remains one of the most anticipated projects in Bollywood. However, ongoing rumours regarding casting changes and behind-the-scenes disagreements have kept it in the spotlight.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding Ranveer Singh’s exit or the alleged financial dispute, leaving fans waiting for clarity on the future of the franchise.
