Vicky Kaushal is enjoying a completely new chapter in his life — fatherhood. The actor recently opened up about how becoming a parent has changed him and why watching his wife Katrina Kaif share special moments with their son Vihaan feels almost impossible to put into words.
In a recent conversation shared on the YouTube channel of Harit Zaveri Jewellers, Vicky spoke about the little family moments that have become incredibly precious to him. For the actor, it is not only about watching his son grow, but also about seeing the happiness on Katrina’s face as she experiences those moments with their child.
‘If you could pause this, you could just live this more’
Vicky became emotional while describing one of those simple family moments. He spoke about watching Katrina enjoy a moment with their son while the little one giggles.
“To just see your wife’s happiness in that moment and your child giggling, and you in that moment… You just feel that if you could pause this, you could just live this more. It’s just amazing,” he said.
For Vicky, these moments have made him look at life differently. He explained that fatherhood has made him more sensitive as a person while also making him more aware of the responsibility that comes with being a parent.
Fatherhood has made Vicky more responsible
The Sam Bahadur actor also spoke about how becoming a father has made him more mindful of his own actions.
He said that having a child means that he now has to “practice what you preach.” In other words, the values and lessons he wants to pass on to his son also need to be reflected in his own behaviour.
Vicky’s words show that fatherhood has brought not just happiness into his life, but also a stronger sense of responsibility.
‘It is such a magical experience’
While talking about how much he has changed since becoming a father, Vicky admitted that it is difficult to actually explain the transformation.
“You can’t quantify change in a sense of how and what has changed,” he said, adding that fatherhood is a “magical experience” and a “magical feeling” that cannot easily be captured in words.
For someone who spends much of his life in front of cameras, Vicky said there simply may not be enough words to describe the emotions that come with watching his own child grow.
