Hrithik Shares Wangchuk’s Message
On Friday, Hrithik took to his Instagram Stories to repost a video of Sonam Wangchuk, which was originally shared by actor Lisa Ray. In the video, Wangchuk spoke about the alleged impact of exam irregularities on students who dedicate years of hard work preparing for competitive examinations.

Reacting to the video, Hrithik wrote that Wangchuk’s words deeply connected with him. He also recalled his experience of portraying a teacher in the film Super 30, which was based on the life of mathematician and educator Anand Kumar.
“This sounds true. I learnt about the trauma students go through when I played a teacher in one of my movies,” Hrithik wrote while expressing his support.
Through his post, the actor highlighted the immense pressure students face while preparing for competitive exams and acknowledged the emotional and mental challenges they experience.
Sonam Wangchuk’s Ongoing Protest
Sonam Wangchuk began his indefinite hunger strike on June 28 after joining the protest organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The demonstration initially focused on alleged NEET examination irregularities and paper leak concerns, with protesters demanding accountability and reforms in the examination system.
The protesters have been seeking action against alleged failures in conducting competitive examinations and have called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
As the protest continued, concerns grew over Wangchuk’s health. After weeks of fasting, doctors raised concerns about his condition, following which authorities took steps to ensure he received medical attention.
Wangchuk Shifted to Hospital Over Health Concerns
On Saturday, Delhi Police shifted Sonam Wangchuk to Safdarjung Hospital following directions from the Delhi High Court and medical advice regarding his deteriorating health.
According to police officials, the decision was taken to provide necessary medical care. Authorities stated that while the shifting process took place, there was some commotion among protesters, but the situation was handled peacefully.
The police also clarified that no protesters were beaten during the incident.

Wangchuk’s protest has received support from several members of the entertainment industry, including actors and filmmakers who have raised concerns over student issues and examination reforms.
Before Hrithik Roshan, several celebrities had expressed their support for the cause, urging authorities to address the concerns raised by protesters while also appealing for Wangchuk to prioritise his health.
