Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has spoken out in support of the ongoing student protests, becoming one of the latest celebrities to express solidarity with students demanding education reforms. Sharing an emotional message on social media, the actor said the events of the past few days had deeply affected her and praised the courage shown by young people across the country.
Her statement comes after students participating in the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) protest march in Delhi allegedly faced lathicharge and tear gas during their “Chalo Sansad” demonstration earlier this week.
Alia Bhatt Shares Emotional Note
Taking to Instagram, Alia Bhatt posted a heartfelt message reflecting on the determination of the students and the sacrifices behind their dreams.
She wrote that the past few days had “broken” her heart but had also filled her with hope.
According to Alia, every student standing up for their rights represents much more than themselves. She said they carry the hopes of their families and the dreams built through years of hard work and sacrifice.
The actor added that their movement is also about creating a better future for generations to come.

In her note, Alia praised the resilience of the students, saying their courage serves as a reminder for society to truly listen to the voices of the country’s youth.
She wrote that today’s students are the people who will inherit and shape India’s future, making it essential to understand and respect their concerns.

A day earlier, Salman Khan also shared an emotional post supporting the movement. Calling the paper leak issue a serious concern, he said he was saddened that what began as a peaceful protest turned violent.
He praised students for peacefully demanding a better education system and urged that the movement should not be politicised, saying the credit belongs entirely to the students.
Actor Huma Qureshi also visited the protest site at Jantar Mantar in the early hours of Thursday along with her brother, actor Saqib Saleem, to personally extend support to the demonstrators.
Several other well-known personalities, including Rajkummar Rao, Prakash Raj, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, and Javed Akhtar, have also shared messages expressing concern over the situation and supporting students’ demands.
Protests Continue Across Delhi
The student movement has continued for weeks over allegations of irregularities in competitive examinations, including claims of paper leaks.
The protests intensified after thousands of students participated in the “Chalo Sansad” march towards Parliament. According to Delhi Police, action was taken after protesters allegedly violated prohibitory orders and attempted to cross barricades.
However, protesters have alleged that police used excessive force, including lathicharge and tear gas, leaving several students injured.
The issue has since become a major national discussion, drawing reactions from political leaders, public figures, and celebrities.
