Actor Sonu Sood, who is widely known for his humanitarian work and for helping people during difficult times, is once again in the spotlight for stepping forward to help those affected by the recent floods in Nepal.
Sonu Sood reached Kathmandu on Tuesday and travelled to some of the worst-affected areas to understand the situation on the ground and support flood victims. Sharing updates from Nepal, the actor said he was currently in Nuwakot, one of the areas badly affected by the floods.
“Yes, I am here at a place called Nuwakot. It is among the most affected areas. Meeting the families and survivors here has been difficult, as reaching them has been challenging. We are trying to do a lot of relief work for them, including arranging food supplies, medical help and shelters. We have visited several camps and met many families. We have also noted down their details so that we can provide them with further assistance,” Sonu said.
The actor also took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a carousel of pictures from his visit. In the photographs, Sonu can be seen meeting children and families who have survived the devastating floods.
Sharing the pictures, he wrote about the heartbreaking situation faced by the survivors and expressed his determination to help them rebuild their lives.

“…They lost their home, their family, their childhood, but together we will help them find a new beginning. Nepal, you are not alone,” he wrote.
Sonu Sood has previously earned widespread appreciation for his humanitarian efforts, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, when he helped thousands of people with transportation, medical assistance and other essential needs. His efforts during that period earned him immense goodwill across the country.
Speaking about the current situation in Nepal, Sonu said that the conditions on the ground remain extremely difficult.
“The situation on the ground is not good. All the relief camps are full of heartbroken people,” he said, describing the emotional condition of the survivors.
He also spoke about visiting a damaged house that had survived the floods and meeting the family living there. According to Sonu, many people have lost their homes and loved ones, making it important for everyone to come together and support those affected.
“A lot of people have lost their lives. It is important for us to come together and help those in need. If you have any details or connections to survivors who need help, please reach out. Our charity is doing its best, and you can also get in touch with us. We will do whatever we can,” Sonu said.
Through his visit and relief efforts, Sonu Sood is once again showing that his humanitarian work goes beyond social media posts. By travelling to the affected areas himself and meeting survivors, the actor is trying to provide practical support to people who have lost their homes, belongings and loved ones in the floods.
