Actor Ram Kapoor made a candid revelation about his past relationships during a recent episode of Lock Upp. The actor, who has been happily married to Gautami Kapoor for more than two decades, admitted that he had “countless affairs” before marriage and even described himself as a “playboy.”
The conversation began when fellow contestant Shreya Kalra asked Ram how many affairs he had been in. With a smile, the actor replied, “After marriage, not a single one.” When Shreya clarified that she was referring to his life before marriage, Ram laughed and said, “I was a playboy. I can’t count my affairs.”
Ram also shared an interesting story from the time he and Gautami decided to get married. According to him, producer Ektaa Kapoor, who is a close friend, was concerned about Gautami and wanted to make sure she knew about his past.
Recalling the incident, Ram revealed that Ektaa called Gautami and warned her, saying, “Are you sure you want to marry him? He has had many affairs.”
Instead of taking offence, Ram admitted that Ektaa had done the right thing. He said he genuinely had that reputation before marriage and understood why she felt the need to warn Gautami.
The actor’s honesty surprised many viewers, as he openly acknowledged his past while making it clear that his life changed completely after marriage.
Ram Kapoor and Gautami Kapoor first met in 2000 while working together on the television show Ghar Ek Mandir. Their friendship gradually turned into love, and after dating for nearly two years, they got married on February 14, 2003.
Today, the couple is considered one of television’s most loved pairs. They are parents to two children, daughter Sia and son Aks, and often entertain fans with their fun social media videos and playful chemistry.
Ram’s latest revelation on Lock Upp has once again sparked conversations among fans, with many appreciating his honesty about his younger days while also admiring the strong relationship he has built with Gautami over the past two decades.
