Actor Ram Kapoor had an emotional moment on the reality show Lock Upp, where he requested host Riteish Deshmukh to evict him from the show, saying he felt completely out of place in the high-pressure environment.
The actor, known for his calm and grounded personality, admitted that the intense format of the show was affecting him emotionally and mentally, leading him to question his decision to participate.
Contestants Go Hungry After Money Mismanagement
The tension inside the house began when contestants were left with only ₹3,400 to manage food expenses for everyone. In a collective decision, the inmates chose not to spend the amount, expecting the show’s team to step in with food provisions. However, the strategy backfired, and the group ended up losing the money entirely, leaving everyone without food.
This incident led to frustration inside the house, with several contestants blaming each other for the situation.
Ram Kapoor Refuses Task, Seeks Exit
Following the incident, Ram Kapoor refused to take part in the next task that could have helped the group earn food. He openly expressed regret about joining the show and said he felt it was not the right fit for him.
“Yeh show mere liye galat hai, main iss show ke liye galat hoon shayad. I should not have said yes to a show like this. I need to exit this show as soon as possible,” he said.
Ram also mentioned that he did not want to continue being part of something that made him uncomfortable, adding that he felt he was not handling the intensity of the game in the right way.
Emotional Appeal to Riteish Deshmukh
Later in the episode, when Riteish Deshmukh addressed the contestants, he questioned their decisions regarding the food money and the internal rebellion within the group.
During the discussion, Ram once again expressed his feelings, stating that he had realised he might not be suited for the format of the show. He admitted that he had started getting emotionally attached to the younger contestants, which made the competitive environment difficult for him.
He further said that he did not want to disrespect the show, its makers, or the platform, and therefore requested to be evicted.
However, Riteish encouraged him to stay, reminding him that his positive personality and calm nature were valuable strengths in the game.
Emotional House Atmosphere
The emotional tension inside the house was not limited to Ram Kapoor. Contestant Sunita Ahuja was also seen breaking down and requesting to leave the show so she could return to her family and children.
Riteish Deshmukh reassured all contestants that they were being supported and taken care of, and encouraged them to continue the journey with strength.
