Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the government will set up fast-track courts to ensure swift action against those involved in examination paper leaks, saying that protecting the future of India’s youth remains one of the government’s top priorities.
The Prime Minister’s statement comes amid nationwide protests over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak controversy, with students demanding accountability and education reforms.
PM Modi’s First Public Response
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the welfare of students is of utmost importance and assured that strict legal action would be taken against those responsible for compromising the examination system.
“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth,” the Prime Minister wrote.
He further announced that the government has decided to establish fast-track courts to ensure speedy trials and strict punishment in paper leak cases.
“We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. I have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students,” he said.
The Prime Minister also issued a strong warning, stating that those who try to harm the future of the country’s youth will not be spared.

Announcement Comes Amid Ongoing Student Protests
PM Modi’s remarks come at a time when protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and several student groups continue at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
The demonstrations began over allegations of irregularities and paper leaks in competitive examinations, particularly NEET, with protesters demanding greater transparency, accountability, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protests intensified earlier this week during the “Chalo Sansad” march, when clashes broke out between protesters and security personnel.

Earlier this week, while addressing NDA Members of Parliament, PM Modi had reportedly urged lawmakers to engage with young people, listen to their concerns, and ensure that those responsible for examination irregularities face the strictest possible punishment.

Opposition Continues to Raise Questions

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently called for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging that repeated examination irregularities have affected millions of students across the country.
Rahul also demanded accountability for the police action during the student protests and urged the government to address students’ concerns through dialogue.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda has stated that the alleged paper leak cases are under investigation and assured that the government will present the findings once the inquiry is completed.
CJP Reacts to PM’s Statement
Soon after the Prime Minister’s announcement, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been leading the protests, responded on social media by reiterating its demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The organization maintained that, along with legal reforms, political accountability is also necessary to restore students’ confidence in the education system.
