Hrithik Roshan Floats Fun Idea To Ryan Gosling: Rocky x Jaadu Hangout In Mumbai
Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, who last thrilled audiences in War 2, recently shared a playful interaction with Hollywood star Ryan Gosling during the promotions of Gosling’s upcoming sci-fi drama, Project Hail Mary.
The conversation took an unexpected and fun turn when Hrithik floated the idea of a unique meet-up: a hangout between their iconic alien characters, Rocky and Jaadu. Speaking to the media, Hrithik said, “You have Rocky, and I have Jaadu. We’ll hang at Churchgate of Bandra. That sounds great. By the way, I just met Rocky. I met him and I taught him some of our… On behalf of all your fans here in India, namaste, and we are really looking forward to your film. Thank you so much.”
Praising Project Hail Mary
Hrithik went on to heap praise on Ryan’s film, which is adapted from Andy Weir’s acclaimed novel of the same name. “I actually read the book and then I saw the trailer. Then I made an Instagram post about it and I said that it’s the best sci-fi book I’ve ever read in my life. The movie better live up to it. No pressure,” he said. Hrithik also commended Ryan for his acting, adding, “Ryan acts and embodies the part unbelievably well.”
Discussing one scene that stayed with him, Hrithik shared, “There is this one scene where they’re forcing you to go to space and you just don’t want to go. On the page it’s said that he tears up and I caught myself thinking as an actor I was like how would an actor play that? Would I actually cry or would I hold it in? What’s going to be the sweet spot? I was wondering, did you have a thought while approaching that scene?”

Ryan Gosling Opens Up
Responding to Hrithik, Ryan Gosling revealed the emotional depth behind the scene. “You know it was interesting; that was one of the last… we shot, so it took five years to make the film, and then I was a hundred days alone on camera. It was one of the most difficult films I’ve ever made and probably will ever make. It took a bigger chunk out of me than any movie I’ve ever done,” he said.
He added, “I was so broken down by the whole process of making this that I was just shattered anyway in that scene. And I was acting opposite Sandra Huler, who is one of the greatest actors alive. She played it with such beautiful emotion. There wasn’t a harshness to it. There was so much pure emotion in the way that she played it that it just wrecked me. I didn’t have to act.”

The interaction between Hrithik and Ryan offered fans a mix of heartfelt admiration and lighthearted fun, especially with the idea of Rocky and Jaadu meeting up in Mumbai. While the crossover remains a fantasy for now, the playful banter shows the camaraderie between stars across the globe.
