Jasmine Sandlas Reveals ‘Jaiye Sajana’ from Dhurandhar: The Revenge Was Recorded Hours Before Audio Launch
The music of Dhurandhar has been widely praised, and singer Jasmine Sandlas, who has contributed to multiple tracks in the franchise, has shared behind-the-scenes details about the creation of one of the standout songs from Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
In a conversation with Humans of Bombay, Jasmine revealed that the song “Jaiye Sajana” was completed on the very day of the film’s audio launch. “I was at the studio at 4 am with Shashwat Sachdev, and we were recording and writing the song the day that the music album launched! The day that we performed the songs was the day it was recorded!” she recounted, highlighting the last-minute efforts behind the track.
She explained that some portions of the song had been written and recorded months earlier. “Kuch kuch parts humne teen mahine pehle likh liye thhe, record kar liye thhe, and it was finalised ekdum se… poori album bani hui hain aur ek achcha gaana hain jo apko lagta hain ki it’s nice, it’s beautiful,” Jasmine said, reflecting on the spontaneous yet successful finalization of the track.
Describing the emotional depth of “Jaiye Sajana,” Jasmine noted that the song captures feelings of loneliness and betrayal, resonating strongly with audiences. “Abhi (now), all Indians worldwide are talking about that song,” she added, expressing amazement at the track’s widespread impact.
Jasmine also praised composer Shashwat Sachdev and director Aditya Dhar for their contributions to the film’s music, emphasizing that their collaborative approach was key to creating an album that has connected deeply with listeners.
