World-famous YouTuber MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has officially tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Thea Booysen. The internet sensation shared the first glimpses from their intimate island wedding on social media, delighting millions of fans around the world.

A Fairytale Island Wedding
The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony held at Richard Branson’s luxurious Necker Island, surrounded by around 70 close friends and family members.
According to reports, the wedding celebrations began on July 14 and lasted for nearly a week. Guests enjoyed several island activities, including snorkeling, kitesurfing, and other beachside experiences before the couple officially said “I do.”
For their first dance as husband and wife, MrBeast and Thea chose Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ hit song “Die With a Smile,” making the moment even more memorable.

Jimmy Donaldson first met Thea Booysen in 2022 during a visit to South Africa, where she lives.
Recalling their first meeting in an interview with People, Thea admitted she was pleasantly surprised by MrBeast’s personality.
She said she expected him to be very different from the image people see online but instead found him to be humble, intelligent, and genuinely kind.
“I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he’s actually a nice guy. He wasn’t sitting there with an ego,” she said.

She said the wedding mainly made their commitment official in the eyes of the world, while their everyday life together would remain the same.
“It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality. Ever since we started dating we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage. The difference is now the world knows we’re married, but we’ll still come home to our house and dogs and cats, and then we’re off to our next adventure,” she said.
She also praised Jimmy for ensuring every guest felt welcomed and appreciated throughout the celebrations.
