Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal may have kept their relationship away from the public eye for several years, but there was one person they couldn’t fool—Salman Khan. The actress recently revealed that the Bollywood superstar had figured out they were dating long before they admitted it themselves.
During their appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s chat show Double Date, Sonakshi and Zaheer shared amusing memories from the early days of their romance and recalled how Salman effortlessly saw through their repeated denials.
Salman Knew the Truth
Speaking on the show, Zaheer revealed that Salman had sensed their relationship even before they officially told him.
“He saw us before we told him. He had already found out,” Zaheer said, adding that the actor understood what was going on simply by observing them.
Sonakshi admitted that whenever Salman questioned them about their bond, both of them would deny being in a relationship.
However, Salman wasn’t convinced.
‘I Don’t Want to Take Sides’
Recalling one memorable conversation, Sonakshi said Salman jokingly predicted what might happen if their relationship didn’t work out.
She shared that Salman told them:
“Look, one day you two will break up. You’ll come here crying, and he’ll come there crying. I love both of you, and I don’t want to take sides.”
Sonakshi said both she and Zaheer were left speechless because Salman had completely understood their relationship despite their efforts to keep it a secret.
She admitted that there was obvious chemistry between them, making it difficult to hide their feelings.
Three Words That Said It All
The actress also recalled another incident during a trekking trip with Salman.
According to Sonakshi, Salman casually walked up to Zaheer and simply said:
“Dikh raha hai sab.” (Everything is visible.)
Those three words were enough for the couple to realise there was no point pretending anymore. Salman had already figured everything out.
A Love Story That Began at Salman Khan’s Party
Interestingly, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s love story also has a connection to Salman Khan.
The couple first met at a party hosted by the superstar and reportedly began dating in 2017. Despite being together for several years, they chose to keep their relationship private and rarely spoke about it publicly.
After years of speculation, Sonakshi and Zaheer finally got married on June 23, 2024, in an intimate civil ceremony under the Special Marriage Act, surrounded by their close friends and family.
