Former model and actor Muzammil Ibrahim recently opened up about his past relationship with Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone, sharing nostalgic memories from the early days when both of them were young and building their careers.
During a conversation with Sidharth Kannan on his podcast, Muzammil revealed that he and Deepika were in a relationship for nearly two years. He recalled a time when Deepika was known as the daughter of legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone, while he was among the most successful and popular models of that period.
Speaking about their equation, Muzammil said that Deepika was always confident and had a strong personality. He added that while he was a recognised face in the modelling world at the time, Deepika later went on to achieve global fame and became one of India’s biggest film stars.
Muzammil expressed admiration for Deepika’s journey and praised her success. He said that he remains a fan of her work and enjoys watching her films, describing her as a talented and beautiful person.
Recalling their relationship, Muzammil shared some sweet memories from their younger days. He revealed that before Deepika became a household name, the two would enjoy simple moments together, including going on dates in an auto-rickshaw during rainy days.
He described those days as special because they were happy despite having limited resources. According to him, the happiness they shared was not connected to luxury or expensive experiences but came from spending quality time together.
Muzammil also remembered a moment when he bought his first car after becoming financially successful. He said Deepika was genuinely happy for him, and that small moments like these remain unforgettable.
He reflected that those simple dates and carefree moments were something he has never experienced again in the same way. For him, the memories stand out because they represented a phase of life when both of them were young, ambitious, and enjoying the journey together.
