Rumours about Jr NTR’s possible entry into politics recently created a buzz among fans and political circles, but the Telugu superstar has now clarified that he has no connection with the event that sparked the speculation.
The confusion began after an organisation called RAW NTR announced an upcoming event titled “Ooru Vaada”, leading many fans and social media users to speculate that the event could be linked to Jr NTR’s political debut. Given the actor’s strong political family background, the rumours quickly gained attention.
However, Jr NTR’s office released an official statement clarifying that the actor is not associated with the organisation or the event in any way.
The statement said that an organisation operating under the name RAW NTR was carrying out activities that could create an impression of being connected with the actor. It further clarified that neither Jr NTR nor his team has any association, affiliation, or involvement with RAW NTR or its activities.
The actor’s office also stated that any official communication, public welfare initiative, or activity involving Jr NTR would only be announced through him or his authorised team. They urged fans and media outlets not to believe unverified information or rumours.
Meanwhile, RAW NTR also addressed the speculation surrounding the event. The organisation clarified that the July 18 event at Taj, Tirupati, is only meant to introduce the vision and agenda behind their initiative and has no connection with any political announcement by Jr NTR.

Jr NTR’s Strong Political Legacy
The reason political rumours surrounding Jr NTR often gain attention is his deep connection with Andhra Pradesh’s political history. He is the grandson of legendary actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh multiple times.
Jr NTR’s family has had a long association with both cinema and politics. His father, Nandamuri Harikrishna, was involved in politics, while his uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna is an actor and TDP leader. His extended family also includes Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leader Nara Lokesh.
Although Jr NTR campaigned for the TDP in the past, especially during the 2009 elections, he has never officially announced plans to enter politics or contest elections.
Jr NTR Focuses on Cinema Career
Currently, Jr NTR continues to focus on his acting career. He was last seen in Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1 and also appeared in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2. The actor is currently working on filmmaker Prashanth Neel’s upcoming project Dragon. He is also reportedly set to collaborate with Trivikram Srinivas for a film inspired by Lord Murugan.
