Television actor Surbhi Chandna has spoken candidly about her thoughts on motherhood and the choices women make when it comes to planning a family. The actor said she personally has not considered freezing her eggs and would rather allow motherhood to happen naturally when the time feels right.

In a recent conversation with IANS, Surbhi also made it clear that her decision is a personal one and that she respects women who choose egg freezing for their own reasons.

Surbhi Chandna on her decision not to freeze eggs

Surbhi explained that she has thought about the subject but does not feel the need to freeze her eggs at this stage. Sharing an example from her own family, she spoke about her sister, who became a mother at 39.

“My sister delivered a boy; he is two years old now, when she was 39, and it was a normal delivery,” Surbhi said.

For Surbhi, her sister’s experience has also shaped the way she looks at motherhood. She believes that every woman’s journey is different and that there is no single timeline that works for everyone.

She supports women who choose egg freezing

While explaining her own choice, Surbhi was careful not to discourage other women from considering egg freezing. She acknowledged that some women may find the option important for personal or professional reasons.

“I also believe in it, and those who think it is important to freeze their eggs… very nice,” she said.

Her comments highlight the fact that decisions around motherhood are deeply personal. Some women may choose to preserve their fertility because they want to delay starting a family, while others may prefer to let things happen naturally.

Surbhi said she has personally been advised about the possible hormonal changes associated with the process. Referring to a conversation with her gynaecologist, she said there could be hormonal imbalance involved when undergoing the procedure.

‘Motherhood will happen when it has to’

Rather than putting pressure on herself to follow a particular timeline, Surbhi appears comfortable allowing things to happen naturally. She expressed faith in the idea that motherhood will come at the right time for her.

Her perspective also reflects a broader conversation many women have about balancing personal choices, career goals and family plans. With changing attitudes towards marriage and parenthood, more women are openly discussing options such as egg freezing, while others continue to prefer a natural approach.

For Surbhi, there seems to be no rush. She is choosing to trust her own instincts and believes that motherhood should happen when the time is right for her.

The actor’s comments have also sparked conversations among fans about the different paths women can take when planning their futures, while reinforcing the idea that such decisions should ultimately be based on an individual’s circumstances and comfort.
